Want to make your Collierville neighborhood even safer? One of the best ways to build a safer community is to develop relationships with your neighbors and local police officers. On Tuesday, August 1, 2017, Collierville residents have the opportunity to participate in a nation-wide event promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie through National Night Out.
Celebrating its 34th anniversary, National Night Out promotes police-community partnerships to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live. With over 38 million participants nationally, the Collierville Police Department co-sponsors the event to encourage residents to work together to prevent crime in Collierville neighborhoods.
To participate in National Night Out, register your neighborhood, block, or subdivision by calling the Collierville Police Department’s Public Relations Line at 901-457-2560 or register online here: colliervillepolice.org/services/national-night-out. To find out if your neighborhood is already registered, contact Lieutenant David Townsend at 457-2563 or email@example.com.
During National Night Out, Collierville Police Officers and Mayor and Board of Aldermen members will stop by the registered parties to enjoy the event with the community. In 2016, Lieutenant Townsend said there were 50 registered parties in Collierville, and there is always room for more.
