The Collierville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (CPRCA) Department is accepting nominations for its 2017 Hall of Fame. Do you know someone who has given of their time and energy to make Collierville’s recreational and cultural activities possible and memorable for Town residents? Do you know someone who serves on a committee or board and makes decisions that make Collierville parks more engaging and interesting and every year?
Those are the people we’re looking for.
"This is an opportunity to recognize special individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the parks system over the past 32 years,” said Parks Director Greg Clark.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame should be turned in to the Hall of Fame Committee by September 20th. Here’s a list of activities and/or groups your nominee may have contributed time and effort to: served on the Parks Advisory Board; coached or officiated in any of the department’s sports programs; appointment to local community committees involved with Collierville Parks, such as the Planning Commission, Collierville Soccer Association or Collierville Youth Athletics Association. The nominee may also have held other positions that influenced the direction of the Department.
The Hall of Fame isn’t for CPRCA employees; it’s for residents who have consistently given of themselves through volunteer work or elected service. The Parks department established the Hall of Fame in 2013 as they celebrated their 30th anniversary. Pictured above are the first inductees of the Hall of Fame (L-R) Dan Lattimore, Ph.D, Preston Carpenter, and Randy Lowry.
