Use of the building will be changing from the previous occupant (e.g. office into a restaurant).
ALTERATIONS NEED TO BE DONE TO ACCOMODATE YOUR BUSINESS
Work needs to be doen on the building to accommodate your buiness or repairs need to be made (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior alterations, exterior alterations, doors, awnings, fences, parking, grease traps, CO2 containers, satellite dishes, etc.).
BUILDING IS TO BE USED THE EXACT SAME WAY WITH NO REPAIRS
If the use of the building is not changing (office to another office or restaurant to another restaurant) and NO work is being done (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior / exterior alterations, etc.), then you will need to contact the Codes Division to apply for a "CO without Permit".
In order to open your business to the public, you must obtain a certificate of occupancy through the Building & Codes Department. YOU MUST HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY IN ORDER TO INTERVIEW AND HIRE IN THE BUILDING.
