Northwest Waste Water Treatment Plant
Shelton Rd. Waste Water Treatment Plant
Wastewater Treatment (WWTP) is responsible for the processing and treatment of sewer wastewater prior to being discharged into the Wolf River. The Town currently operates two sewage treatment facilities, which have a combined average treatment capacity of 9.5 MGD. The NWWWTP expansion project cost the city approximately $20 million dollars and the Shelton WWTP upgrade approximately $7 million dollars. Since construction was completed on both plants there have been no NPDES permit violations at either plants. Construction for both the Northwest Waste Water Treatment Plant and Shelton Rd. Waste Water Treatment Plant was completed in 2008.
