Stan R. Joyner is a Collierville native who has lived and served in the Collierville community all his life.

He was elected to the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 1999 and until being elected as Mayor in November 2008 was serving his third term as Alderman. During his tenure as Alderman Mr. Joyner served on the Planning Commission, the Employee Retirement Plan Committee, and the Pension Committee.

Mr. Joyner has been active in the Collierville community as a member of both the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club in addition to other civic and community causes.

He is a member of Collierville United Methodist Church. He is also a 2008 graduate of Leadership Collierville.

Stan and his wife Linda have been married 34 years. They have three sons, Doug, Adam and Tyler, two granddaughters and one grandson.
