John E. Stamps was elected Alderman in November of 2016. Prior to being elected Alderman, he was appointed by the Board to fill the remaining two years of the Position 5 term that was left vacant following the death of Alderman Jimmy Lott in January of 2015.
Alderman Stamps, a 20-year resident of Collierville, has served on the Collierville Planning Commission, Historic District Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and the 2040 Collierville Land Use Steering Committee. He is broker/owner of Stamps Real Estate Company and is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, serving on the Board of Directors and as Vice President.
He is a graduate of Leadership Collierville, volunteers with Main Street Collierville and the Memphis Down Syndrome Association Board of Directors. "I am fully invested in Collierville and it has been an honor for me to serve on its boards and commissions. I sincerely look forward to being a part of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen," Mr. Stamps said.
